Brief history and mission of the institution

History

SBIHM School of Management located at Barasat possesses an affluent past that goes back to 1999 when it was established. Initially, the institute’s primary focus was to provide education and training in hotel management, but gradually it broadened and now offers various courses in management, travel and tourism, business administration, culinary science, hospitality management, and many more.

Today, SBIHM is affiliated to the Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) , West Bengal State University (WBSU) and is also approved by the National Council of Vocational and Research Training (NCVRT) and many other such affiliations. The institution has received recognition for its proficient education such as the Asia’s Education Excellence Award for Best Educational Institute in Healthcare.
